Description:
This historic image shows a piece of machinery referred to as the "White Pigment Grizzly'" In the foreground, there are a series of connected wooden shacks. Wooden scaffolding has been constructed over the building on the left. A man stands on a platform at the top of the scaffolding. He guides a bucket to the floor. Note the chunks of marble, wood scraps, utility poles and lines, and additional machinery. Beyond the buildings, there is a stand of deciduous trees. They are leafy, indicating it is probably summer.
