- This image is a screenshot from a movie made using actual footage from the 1927 flood: This image is from a clip of the 1927 Flood Movie that begins with the caption "An example of the power of the flood. A steam roller washed several hundred feet, then buried." Another caption reads "Note the Railroad track standing like a picket fence in the background." Train tracks that were ripped up by the flood waters often looked like a picket fence as they do in this photo. This photo shows, as the caption explains, a steam roller that was carried by the flood water and then engulfed in mud. It's clear that this steam roller is very heavy and that it is buried by at least 1 foot of solid mud. Behind the twisted railroad tracks there appears to be a field and then either a mountainside or a row of trees.
