Ye Georgian Inn at 352 Pearl Street
1910 - 1940
This black and white photograph captures the Ye Georgian at 352 Pearl Street in Burlington. The building is sited on a landscaped lawn at the center of the image. A concrete sidewalk passes across the foreground of the image. A gravel driveway extends from the street, which is located just off the bottom edge, up along the right side of the image. The wood-frame building is located to the left of the driveway. The building is two stories in height, has a gable roof, and is covered in clapboards. Pilasters and a pediment frame the main door. Flowers bloom in boxes along the first-story windows. A chair sits in the lawn to the left of the door. The large front lawn is framed by hedges and shaded by a mature, deciduous tree that grows along the sidewalk. A stone walkway extends from the sidewalk to the front door. Shrubs grow along the foundation of the building and along the right side of the driveway. Another two-story, gable-roof, wood-frame building is located to the rear of the main house, at the end of the driveway. This may be a either a secondary dwelling or the rear of the dwelling on the next street over. Shrubs also grow along the foundation of this building. The side of another dwelling is visible to the left of the main house. This dwelling appears to be two stories tall, have a gable roof, and be of brick construction. The windows are topped with splayed lintels. Several mature, deciduous trees grow to the side of and to the rear of the buildings. The thick foliage suggests a summer season.
