View of what remains of Champlain Bridge

- Description:
- What remains of the Champlain Bridge can be seen on the right side of this image. It stretches into Lake Champlain and ends abruptly in a mass of crumpled metal and cements bent in strange "un bridge-like" angles. The cement footings of the bridge still stand in the water, no longer supporting the bridge. Orange fencing signs warn people to stay back from the unstable structure. In the foreground, the ground is comprised of grass mud and standing water. A fence made of wooden cylinders and chain, separates the road from a snow covered clearing. A few leafy deciduous trees grow near the shoreline. The porch of a wooden structure can be seen on the right side of the image.
