This photograph displays A.W. Edson in front of a marble building. Immediately adjacent to him is a rounded marble pillar, beside which is a rectangular pillar made of marble blocks. Behind where he is standing on the marble stoop is a dark entrance rug used to wipe one's shoes before entering the building. The entrance way to the left of the Edson appears open, and is surrounded by small glass panes. There appears to be a path that leads directly to the entrance, as well as one that leads from the right.
