State:
Vermont
Date:
1961-10-11
Description:
Image shows bridge construction with cement towers and coffer dams. Danielle Diarbakerly writes on 2008-12-28: This image shows the construction of Interstate 89. The construction is in its early phases during the mid 20th century. The land in the foreground is barren and soon to be paved. It is sandy. Cement towers stand in the center for the interstate to pass over. On either side are deciduous trees. In the background, there is a work zone with two construction workers walking left. There are construction materials behind them. There are five houses in the background. The season is spring or summer because the trees are in full season. The Winooski River is in the center.
