Title:
264 N Winooski Avenue: Currently Burlington Legal Aid
Town:
Burlington
County:
Chittenden
State:
Vermont
Date:
2008-05
Description:
This building now houses the Legal Aid society in Burlington. The front of the building has been enhanced with two columns that replace the previous four narrow pillars and an enclosed foyer, which is painted green and white. Three circular ornate windows were added to this enclosure. An addition on the north side of the building is visible and changes the stately previous appearance of the structure (looks like emergency stairway?). In addition, several small trees and shrubs have been added. Only six windows are apparent due to the wooden side addition, which enclosed the previous side entrance. The fences have been removed, which reopened the property line. A new telephone pole stands in front of the side addition, and the chimney is no longer visible. There is a green lawn and a sidewalk.

Town:
Burlington
County:

State:
Vermont
Date:
1950?
Description:
Image shows square, three-story building with lawn covered in snow. Fourteen windows are visible from the angle of this shot. The main and side entrances remain unchanged. Below the side stairway, new overgrown shrubs are present and a metal fence now subdivides this property, leaving a smaller yard for the Hebrew school. In addition, the chimney has been adapted into a narrower structure. Snow on the ground indicates the season to be winter.
