Description:: This image shows a view looking down to the Lake of the Clouds near the top of Mount Mansfield. There is increased forestation near the shoreline of the lake with the exception of the small clearing on the far side when compared to the historic image. More woody debris is present in the modern image. Conifer trees surround the lake. Forested mountains can be seen beyond the lake. A flat, mostly tree covered valley can be seen in the background beyond the mountains.
