Anna Thayer

Title:
Anna Thayer
Town:
Guilford
County:
Windham
State:
Vermont
Date:
1900 - 1920
Description:
In this photograph there is an elderly woman named Anna Thayer, of Guilford, Vermont, in a formal portrait. She seems to be looking off in the distance. Her eyes, which appear to be brown, have a serious expression. Anna’s hair is kept up and tight, in an upswept fashion. Anna is wearing a fancy black Victorian dress, with brocade stitching, and a lace collar, that was reportedly made by her. The broach that is on the dress looks like silver, and is in a delicate circular flower shape. The woman has a small frame, as many people did long ago, and is the wife to Frank Thayer, as well as mother to Minnie and Walter Thayer. A stamp on the bottom of the portrait frame reads A.D. Wyatt Photographer Brattleboro VT.
