Description:
The description on the bottom of this photograph reads, "Stream improvement-- small log dam on Stevensville Brook." The image shows a man standing along the rocky bank, looking at the dam on the brook. There is a lot of alluvium along the river in the form of boulders, cobbles, and pebbles. The dam has created a small waterfall in the foreground with a small pool built up behind the dam. The trunks of a few trees and some other riparian vegetation are visible on the far side of the brook.
