A Bicycle Accident

Title:
A Bicycle Accident
Town:
Bristol
County:
Addison
State:
Vermont
Date:
1936
Description:
The unfortunate rider of this bicycle is out of view, perhaps on the far side of the pictured wooden fence, which is covered in roadside vines and vegetation. What is presumably the man's hat lies at the roadside. The road is of packed dirt. Clearly there is a drop-off beyond the fence, as the tops of deciduous tree are the backdrop to the scene. The note included with the photograph reads "Bullard and Esty accident Bristol 1936". All image rights reserved to Henry Sheldon Museum, www.henrysheldonmuseum.org.
