Description:: Photo shows a bridge in North Hero. Bobby Bartlett (WQ2007) writes on 2007-01-03: This is an aerial picture of an old bridge on Route 2 spanning Lake Champlain in North Hero, Vermont. It appears to be a new bridge being built on the far side of the old bridge. This new bridge could possibly be the draw bridge that spans across the lake today. The tower suggests that it is a drawbridge. There seems to be construction taking place of supports for the new bridge, with a man standing on support beams constructing. There is a new, wide, dirt base for the road that leads to the bridge to sit on finished waiting for pavement. Below the bridge there is a small motorized boat traveling under. The season seems to be summer due to there being no frost or ice on the surface of the water. Note the rock revetments protecting the roadway from erosion. See also LS04557.
