Description:: This image was taken after the initial flood waters had receded but before the resurgence of flood water a few days after the initial flood. There are two significant things to be learned form this photograph. The first is that we can look at pictures of the river in 2008 and pictures from 1927 of the river during the high flood waters and see a clear difference, but this is a photo of the river at it's regular water level from 1927 that we can compare to it's regular water level in 2008. The second significant thing to notice about this picture is the tree on the right side that, from what we can see, appears to be very large and thus pretty old. The trees that are there now, as you can see in this 2008 photo, are not that thick and not that old. Image shows mill and hydro dam and powerstation.
