Title:
Drift Rock
- Date:
- 1860 - 1890
- Description:
- This image shows a man bending down to look at a sign in front of a large boulder. The boulder is known as Drift Rock and it is found on Mount Mansfield. There is grassy, alpine vegetation growing around the boulder. Kimberley Beal writes on 2008-02-01: Drift rock is located at the intersection of the Long Trail and Amherst Trail and is thus subject to recreational impact. Krummholz vegetation begins a few feet to the south of the image and a rock clearing stretches north.
