- Date:

- Description:
- This historic photograph documents the view from behind Williams Science Hall towards Ira Allen Chapel. In the foreground a young man walk along a crushed stone path that borders an open area adjacent to Votey Hall. Other student's walk across this open area, all dressed for summer, carrying books, and laughing. The path leading to Votey is line with lampposts, and sits adjacent to a makeshift parking lot. While the area adjacent to Votey is cleared of trees, shrubs and conifer trees now surround the structure. In the background the outline of Billings can be seen beneath the shade of a large Elm tree, and Ira Allen Chapel rises out from behind a row of deciduous trees. Season summer. UVM campus.
