Title:
High Water at North Beach
- Date:
- 2008-04-27
- Description:
- This photo shows North beach in early Spring. The boardwalk extends from the foreground along the beach. The beach is shortened by some degree from the high level of Lake Champlain and it is littered with driftwood and other washed up debris. A few early beachcombers can be seen at a picnic table in the distance. The shoreline extends North past the beach and just beyond the edge of the picture is Lone Rock Point. Grass on right, sand on left. The main differences between the earlier photo and the more recent one is the length of the beach. The earlier photo was probably taken during the summer, and the Spring thaw has created the high water level in the more recent one.
