Title:
Fixed-Span Bridge
- Date:
- 1954
- Description:
- In this image there are two bridges which lead into one road on either side of the water. On the near bank is a field that extends to the edge of a road, which is surrounded further on by coniferous trees. There are a couple of cars on the near side of the bridge. On the far bank are fields with coniferous trees at the water's edge. At the time when this photo was taken, this bridge was under construction, replacing the previous swing span bridge between North Hero and Alburg. This information comes from "Crossings, A History of Vermont Bridges" by Robert McCullough.
