Description:: This is a black and white aerial photo of Barre, Vermont. It is evident by all of the buildings and the number of cars on the road that this is a very densely populated area. There are many paved roads running through Barre. To the right is a winding river. There are many railroad stations and tracks with trains on them. There are large industrial buildings as well as residential buildings. Automobiles fill the streets. There are a few houses to the right of the photo and toward the back that sit alone on a vast expanse of land. There are some small bridges that cross over the river to other parts of the road. Most of the buildings are indistinguishable but it is evident that this photo represents the growth of cities and towns.
