Adams House Cellar

Title:
Adams House Cellar
Town:
Fairlee
County:
Orange
State:
Vermont
Date:
1969-02-14
Description:
This black and white photograph documents the kitchen at the Adams house, which is located near the future site of I-91 construction between Thetford and Fairlee. A few appliances, including an old ice box and a stove, remain in the room. What appears to be a juke box stands along the wall on the left. A sink is located beneath a pair of dirty windows on the far side of the room. Cans, bottles, pots, buckets, boxes, newspapers and other pieces of trash are piled in the sink, along the countertops, and on the floor beneath the sink. More junk is piled atop the stove and ice box. A necktie hangs from the ceiling.
