Title:
Back of Gutterson Fieldhouse
- Date:
- 1961 - 1980
- Description:
- This historic drawing documents Rudolph Adams' conceptual vision of what the new University of Vermont Gymnasium would resemble. This gym is built of two large rounded sections, connected by some smaller rectangular buildings. In these plans, the building appears to sit on Spear Street and is surrounded on two sides by parking lots and on the third by recreational fields. The parking lots are fringed by fruit trees, and partially full of cars. Everywhere pedestrians can be seen milling about the complex. In the background, rolling hills and fields extend back to the small rounded hills and mountains in the background. The season is summer. UVM Campus
