This photo was taken during the construction of the new Alburg-Rouses Point Bridge on US Route2 crossing Lake Champlain between Alburg, VT and Rouses Point, NY. This photo shows several workers pouring concrete for a pier cap on one of the final piers. A crane on a barge is swinging a large bucket of concrete from the old bridge to the new pier. Notice the old railroad trestle in the background, which crosses the lake south of the new bridge. The houses in the distance are in Rouses Point, NY. This photo was taken in spring of 1987.
