- Champlain Bridge connects Chimney Point, Vermont and Crown Point, New York. The bridge, made of steel, spans 2,184 feet across Lake Champlain and was built in 1929. This aerial photograph was taken from over Crown Point and looks towards Chimney Point, Addison and the surrounding Vermont landscape. Open, grassy fields are interspersed with clusters of coniferous and deciduous trees. Mountains are visible in the background. Brad Clark writes on 2020-07-30: This image needs to be flipped.The Crown Point fort is definitely on the wrong side of this image, as well as the structures on the Vermont (farther) side.
