This color image shows the dam in the center, it is a large concrete structure. The left bank is covered in trees while the right side is cleared and shows roads and metal structures. Note the river, the cleared land, and the mountains in the distance. John Adams writes on 2013-06-30: This dam was activated by President Hoover in Washington DC in 1930 by remote when it opened.
