Caledonia
State:
Vermont

Description:
Ernest Skinner of Passumpsic took this black and white photo, sometime between the 1910 and 1920. It is a picture of the military parade. Young boys are marching down the street and there is a man riding on a horse bringing up the back of the parade. This picture was taken on the corner of Summer St. and Church St. in St. Johnsbury. There is an American flag toward the front of the photo. The boys marching seem to be between the ages of 8 and 12. Many of them appear to be holding guns. There are wooden frame buildings and homes surrounding the dirt road that they are marching on. There are many trees lining Church St. and Summer St.
