Description:
This steam tractor on parade at the 1980 Fairbanks 150th Anniversary Parade in St. Johnsbury is hitched to a national guard army tank. The tractor has poor brakes and must be attached, so as to keep it from rolling down the hill on Eastern Avenue, where this photograph was taken. A crowd of people line the far side of the street as well as the windows of the fire department visible in the background. A man stands in the road and photographs the scene. Three National Guard soldiers ride the tank in uniform.
