Title:
"Tuttle" Float
- Date:
- 1983
- Description:
- This photograph shows a float at a parade - a small model of a wooden home is displayed on a flat trailer hooked to a jeep. A man drives the jeep, which also sports a pair of small American flags. Behind the jeep a small green car with a yellow light on the roof motors along. A crowd watches from the shoulder of the road, wearing summer clothes. What may be a church building can be seen in the background among the deciduous trees. ginger isham writes on 2012-07-29: This is replica of first Thomas Chittenden home that burned in 1929. It was built by Art Tuthill and friends for bicentennial parade. Original house was brick. Today is the Clark Farm. Old Brick Church in background.
