This black and white photograph looks southwest through a forest on the Banfill property, which is located along a highway construction project between Maidstone and Brunswick. The dirt road bed is just visible in the background at the right edge of the image. A man stands alongside a truck at the center of the road. A forest of conifers and deciduous trees spreads out on both sides of the road. The edges of the forest, along the roadside, have been cleared. Tree stumps and branches litter the ground. The season is spring.
