Title:
Braintree Hill Church
- Date:
- 2006-05-07
- Description:
- The historic image shows a church with two doors in a cleared landscape. The title at the top of the image reads, "Braintree Hill Church, Braintree, VT." Esther Munroe Swift writes on 2006-2-14: Note that the land falls off at the back of the church and there are windows in that part of the building, indicating that was usable space. Perhaps for a Sunday School or other civic functions. Both being fairly usual in rural areas. The recent photo is of the church as it looks today. It's more recently referred to as "The Braintree Hill Meeting House." The lower section that Ms. Munroe refers to is now the Braintree Historical Society and Museum.
