Title:
Abbott Library
Town:
Pomfret
County:
Windsor
State:
Vermont
Date:
2006
Description:
This photograph is of the Abbott Library. In the immediate foreground there is a paved road. Across the road, there is a small lawn with a small path that leads up to the stairs of the Abbott Library. There are several flowers, including sunflowers outside the library. On the library there is a handwritten sign that says “Open Today.” There is also a sandwich board on the stoop. The Abbott Library is a brick and stone building with several windows and a chimney. Behind the building there are several coniferous trees. The season is summer. Surprisingly, after almost a hundred years, the only real difference between this 2006 image and its 1910 counterpart is the disappearance of bushes on the lawn.
