- Description:
- Main St., Hardwick has over the years changed and rechanged. There is only one or two of the original buildings left that resemble this end of Main St. compared to l9l6. The hillside in the background is forested. Several store fronts are visible on the right side of the photo, and it is likely that businesses occupy the rest of the buildings further down the street. There is a flashing traffic signal hanging over the intersection and two trucks parked on the paved road. There are several light posts along the street.

- Description:
- This photo is of businesses on a main street. The storefront to the right has a sign that reads "Trevillian Bros. Boots Groceries Shoes." Some buildings have peaked roves while others are flat. Power lines run along and across the street. To the left a man stands in the shadows. A sidewalk runs in front of the buildings. In the distance is a wooded hillside. This postcard was sent March 28, 1916. The text on the back of the card refers to the fact that the sender's family is preparing for the spring sugaring, "Carl is going to tap...tell Mother he will be making sugar by another week."
