Title:
Family Monument in Castleton
- Date:
- 2009-04-18
- Description:
- This is a picture of the Ransom family monument in Castleton. The photo was taken in Hillside Cemetery. At the center, a white, multi-layered, tall, skinny monument stands erect. The monument is darkened at the base and in between each of the three tiers. Small stone markers surround the monument. Four markers can be seen in a straight line on either side of the monument. Headstones and other family monuments can be seen in the distance. At the back of the photo stand numerous deciduous trees. It is spring and therefore a mountain range can be seen just beyond the trees. The sky is blue with multiple clouds mixing in. The grass is green and brown. This is indicative of the season.

Title:
Family Monument of A.A. Ransom
- Date:
- 2009-03-13
- Description:
- This image has the original A.A. Ransom headstone along with many other family members headstones. This cemetery is located in Castleton, Vermont, and the obelisk is no longer roped off. Also, in the background, there are many more headstones, and a green and white gazebo. The headstones of the Ransom family are now severely worn, and some are very hard to read. The trees behind the monument are now much larger, and since this is winter, they have no leaves.
