Aerial of the Alburg Bridge

Description:: Photograph shows the Alburg Bridge between North Hero and Grand Isle. Note the thin riparian cover and agricultural fields on far bank. David Lathrop writes on 2008-02-27: This photo is of the North Hero-Alburg Bridge taken from the North Hero side looking north towards Alburg. The new higher level bridge is to the right side of the picture and replaced the old structure to the right which had a swing span to allow sailboats to pass. I believe that the new bridge was built in 1954 and then the old bridge was removed. Today there is a fishing platform constructed on the North Hero end of the old bridge.
