Birdseye view of Summit House

Description:: This image shows a bird eye view of the Summit House on top of Mount Mansfield. There are several different buildings scattered around the cleared area with are a few people visible around the buildings and outcrops surrounding the buildings. There are some cars and trucks parked in the parking lot in the foreground. The road to the summit house is to the right and behind the buildings. The area surrounding the summit house is covered with a forest mixed with both conifers and deciduous trees. There are leaves on the trees so it is most likely summer.

Description:: This image shows a bird's eye view of the parking lot at the end of the toll road on Mount Mansfield. The location of the parking lot used to be the location of several building that were part of the Summit House. There are several vehicles in the parking lot. Conifer trees cover the side of the mountain. There are several dead conifer trees visible within the forest. Several of the Stowe Mountain Resort ski trails are visible. A few building are visible at the top of the ski trails. Two mountains are visible in the background. The view from the historic image is impossible to replicate due to the increase in vegetation.
