Description:: The new photograph shows a tree lined bank and a parking lot where the house at 35 Colchester Ave used to stand. In the foreground the utility poles in about the same location can still be seen with lines crossing the road and with slightly newer hardware (firebox, lamp, crosswalk, etc). These lines cross a widened four-lane road, where a crosswalk now operates. Two automobiles can be seen on the street. To the right the old presidents house can be seen which is now called Mansfield house. The Perkins Building chimney is obscured from view by Maple trees. Season summer.

Description:: On back of original photograph, "35 Colchester Ave, torn down, former presidents house to right out of view." This is a photograph of a large wood framed house sitting on a residential street. In front of the house are large deciduous trees and a driveway. The driveway is cut by a sidewalk, and enters on to a paved road. Two utility poles can be seen in this photograph, one in the foreground (left side of photograph), and the other stands opposite the first. Around the house the property is decorated with various plants and shrubs, as well as some flowerbeds closer to the house. Surrounding the property are various other commercial and residential buildings. Directly behind the house the Perkins Building and its smokestack can be seen. Season summer.

Relative Dating Rationale:: Perkins Hall constructed in 1891. Ira Allen, not pictured, replaced the former president's house in 1925.
