- Description:
- This postcard documents the 150th Anniversary celebration of chartering the town of Williston Vermont. The townspeople are gathered in front of a church to celebrate the day. The green outside the church is filled with both horse drawn wagons and automobiles, suggesting that people of all socioeconomic levels were partaking in this celebration. Not only is the town green filled with animals and automobiles, but also the town streets and adjacent properties. Surrounding the church are large deciduous trees, which follow a street off into the distance. The town appears to consist of mostly wood framed dwellings. While the town appears to be partly vegetated, the surrounding hillsides appear barren (most likely for agricultural purposes). Season is summer.

- Description:
- This image is of the Federated Church in Williston along Williston Road. It has a very tall steeple and it all white. Several dome-shaped windows and front door can be seen. There is a sidewalk with stairs leading to the front door. There is a larger white sign in the lawn labeling the church. There are two male painters on the left side of the church painting on two tall ladders. There are several trees in the lawn of the church.
There are several differences between the old image and the new. The new image is taken from much closer, not captivating as much life as the older photo. The church is currently white, while in the old image, it looks brick. There is no main paved road, only smaller dirt roads. The season is spring in the new image and summer in the old. There is a celebration in the old photo taking place, celebrating the 150th anniversary of Williston. There is no celebration going on in the
new photo.
