In the current photograph, there is a green strip with a sidewalk running through it. A small deciduous tree has been planted. A pine tree and a deciduous tree grow on the right side. A utility wire is visible through the leaves. Vehicles are parked on Summit Street. There are trees on the green strip and then a sidewalk before the lawn of the house. State:
Vermont
Date:
1924-06-16
Description:
This historic postcard shows the Delta Psi House on the corner of Summit and Maple Streets. It was taken facing west. In the foreground is a groomed lawn. The house is a three story red stone and brick house. There are stone stairs leading up to a covered porch. Double columns are on either side of entrance. The first floor exterior is rough stone and the second floor is smooth. The third floor windows project from the roof. A set of three windows on the left has its own projecting roof. The exterior stone on these parts of the house is also rough like the first floor. There is ivy growing to the left and right of the porch to the second floor. There are small shrubs in front of the first floor windows. A small tree has been planted in the front yard on the right. Beyond the house, more deciduous trees are visible.
