- Date:
- 2007-05
- Description:
- This image was an attempt to get a view of the library from Main Street, but the fences surrounding the new Davis Center made it difficult to get a good shot. The back of the old book store is in clear view but it is hard to make out much of what the older images of UVM looked like.

Title:
Cook Physical Science Building Construction (From Parking Lot)
- Date:
- 1970
- Description:
- This historic photograph documents the construction of Cook Physical Science Building from the parking lot behind Morrill Hall. In the foreground, numerous cars are visible in the lot, which is bordered with deciduous trees and large chunks of bedrock. Above the lot are gently sloping grassy hills, which are cut by walking paths. A woman walks down a path towards the library. These paths are lined with small deciduous trees and some light posts. Behind the hill is the new Cook Physical Science building, with sections of staging set up around the structure. On the staging are construction workers using a crane to help complete the top few levels of the new science building. To the left of Cook, the old Gymnasium (Royal Tyler Theater), Williams Science Hall, and Ira Allen Chapel are visible; as well as many large deciduous trees. The season is summer. UVM Campus
