The Entrance to Ethan Allen Park
Town:
Burlington
County:
Chittenden
State:
Vermont
Date:
2008-04-26
Description:
As the title of this photo explains, this picture depicts the entrance to Ethan Allen Park in Burlington. In the foreground of the photograph is paved North Avenue, with a turn off for cars to enter the park, and another side street. The entrance to the park is marked by two stone pillar gate-like structures. In front of the gates are two street lamps, and a sidewalk. To the left is a speed limit sign. To the right of the gates is an “’Ethan Allen Park” sign, and to the front right is a pedestrian traffic light. To the far right of the photo is a utility pole. Similarly, we see electrical wires and at traffic light running across the top of the photograph. Between the gates is a parking lot for access to the park. In the background we see a stand of pine trees. In front of the pines is a smaller grove of deciduous trees that have just started to bud. Additionally, there is a large budding deciduous tree to the right of the gates. The season is spring.
