Description:: This image shows a view of the flooded Winooski River and the Woolen Mill during the 1927 Flood. The river is raging and only the top two stories of the brick mill building are visible due to the high waters. The river appears to be dropping over a submerged dam. A few deciduous trees are visible around the river and in the background. A wooden building is on the near side of the river on the right and it appears as though the foundation of the building has been washed away by the flood. The writing on the image reads, "'Flood Scene' Dressing -- Carding Rooms American Woolen Co. Nov. 4th, 1927 Huard Photo Co." The season is fall.
