Leddy Beach during Spring Thaw

Description:: This image depicts Leddy Beach in late Spring when the water level of the lake is very high. The beach extends Southward, only two feet wide in areas. On the lefthand side of the image is the bank leading down to the water, and a wooden stairwell. To the right is Lake Champlain. A few trees stand in the water because of the high level of the lake. In the distance is the Southern end of the beach and the shoreline that extends out to Lone Rock Point. A few houses can be seen along the waterfront in the distance. The season has a huge effect on the differences that can be seen between the recent image and the earlier one. There seems to be a lot more greenery and growth in the earlier photo, probably because it was taken during the summer. The beach also extends out into the water much farther because the lake depth was not as high at the time the photo was taken. There is a some type of geofabric stabilizing the bank.
