Bennettes dam and Broad Brook

Description:: This is a photograph of Bennett’s Dam/Broad Brook. There are five people sitting on the dam, who appear to be three girls, and two boys. They are reasonably spread out-three people in the middle, and two on either side of the dam, all wearing bathing suits. The background is heavily forested, a mix of deciduous and conifer trees. A sliver of the sky is visible in the photograph. The weather appears to be brisk and sunny, maybe hot. The people are sitting atop the dam, dangling their legs in the water. Apparently, the Dam was used quite regularly as a swimming hole in the early 20th century-as of 2008 it is no longer frequently used.
