Biking over Colchester Point Causeway

Title:
Biking over Lake Champlain on the Colchester Point Causeway
Town:
Colchester
County:
Chittenden
State:
Vermont
Date:
2005
Description:
Photographer Paul O. Boisvert captured this image of cyclists riding over Lake Champlain on the Colchester Point causeway in the summer of 2005. The causeway, photographed from above, enters into the foreground of the image, curves off to the right, and narrows into the background. Five bikers ride in a line over the narrow, dirt pathway. The pathway is bordered by strips of grass and shrubs. Jagged rocks, boulders, and woody debris are collected along the slopes of the banks of the causeway. Clear blue waters spread out in the distance. The rip-rap on the causeway looks to be dominated by cut granite slabs. All rights reserved, copyright Vermont Life Magazine. Description:
This picture is people biking across the causeway. There is a narrow bike path that crosses Lake Champlain. There are two kids on bikes heading out onto the bike path. There are trees and grass that line the path and water is on either side of the path at it goes out. Large white rocks are on either side which can be seen better in the back ground of the picture. This picture differs from the original because in the original there is less vegetation that lines the path and more rocks can be seen. The picture could not be perfectly reshot as the original is taken from the air. The new picture was shot by cwohlers.
