Description:
This image shows a dirt road leading to Alpha Tolman farm. The well-worn dirt road in the foreground has grass on either side. Fences made of long straight branches can be seen on either side of the road. Another dirt road crosses the one leading to the farm. The farmhouse is located to the left of another wooden structure with a wooden-fence alongside. A large elm tree stands near the center of the image in front of a small wooden structure. Several leafed-out deciduous trees are visible near the farmhouse and other structure. The farmhouse is a long wooden structure with an attached garage. Two chimneys are visible. A utility pole can be seen in the far right side of the frame. According to the Greensboro History, Alpha Tolman farm was a local showplace for many years. Also, Tolman was a benefactor of the town and donated the library and health center buildings.

Description:
This image shows a paved road lined with grass, shrubs and trees. Two utility poles and lines can be seen running alongside and across the road. There is a dirt shoulder on both sides of the road. Another road is visible, to the left it is paved and to the right it is dirt. A few small street signs are visible. In the background on the right an open grassy field can be seen. The farmhouse that stood here in the historic image is no longer standing nor is the large elm tree.
