Description:
This photo shows the "old" Guptil road covered bridge in Waterbury located along Route 100. On the upper right of this photo shows the old farm at 99 Kneeland flats road. On the middle left is the barn which now houses the Tangle Woods restaurant. Along side of the dirt road you can see old utility lines which might have been used for power/phone. There is wooden fencing acting as a guardrail leading up to and out of the covered bridge. In the far back of the photo you can see the vast Worster Mountain range. Running under the covered bridge is the Thatcher brook witch runs from Waterbury center through Waterbury and into the Winooski river. A few other wooden structures are visible in the background.

This photo shows a small bridge on the paved Guptil Road in Waterbury, VT. This is located just before Kneeland Flats Road, which can be seen in the distance toward the left side of the photo. This photo was taken in the driveway leading toward Murray Hill Christmas Tree Farm. There is a telephone pole in the near foreground. There are mixed leafless deciduous and coniferous trees on each side of the road. The bridge crosses a small stream running from left to right in the photo. There are several houses seen on the opposite side of the road. There is a red fire hydrant on the right side of the photo. There are mountains spanning the background of the photo. It is a partly cloudy spring day.
