The mighty Ethan Allen statue still stands on the front porch of the State Building in Vermont and has remained pretty much intact except for a few years ago when supposedly some kids stole his hand. It has been replaced though.

Printed at the bottom of this postcard is: "Statue of Ethan Allen, Montpelier, VT." In the immediate foreground you can see the statue of Ethan Allen with his right arm raised. He appears to be waving and is holding his hat in his left hand. A metal circular fence surrounds the monument. Behind the monument there is a grey brick building (the State House).
