Description:: This is a colored postcard of Main Street, in Bennington. There is a road that runs down the center of the road and there are utility lines that line the side of the road. There is a carriage that is driving down the center of the road and wooden-frame, residential buildings that are pictured on either side of the road. There are stone public buildings toward the back of the photograph. Deciduous line the landscape around the road and the mountains are visible in the background. There are sidewalks running parallel to the road. Joe Hall writes on 2010-05-20: This is Main Street, looking east from the intersection of Main and Washington Ave.

Corner of Main and Washington

Description:: This image shows the corner of Washington Ave. and Main Street. The only building that can be seen in this modern image that is also visible in the earlier picture is the white Queen Anne style house on the left side of Main Street. In the earlier pictures, it is the same house that is dark brown with the small front porch. The house today, is the offices of "Centerline Architects & Planners, PC". This image shows a paved road lined with leafy trees. Gas stations sit on both visible corners.
