Title:
1978 concrete bridge, Brown's River
Town:
Underhill
County:
Chittenden
State:
Vermont
Date:
2015
Description:
Compared with what it replaced, this bridge is higher, wider, far better buttressed and encloses a larger area, but Brown's River sometimes rises dramatically, rolling boulders downstream. At the left end of the span, level with the roadway, framed by twigs, you can just see the Vermont-shaped bronze insignia dating the bridge's construction.
